Well, the ‘67 curse ain’t getting broken any time, eh? Same time last year both Habs and Leafs were fighting for a place in the playoffs and both failed. This year, Habs are fighting for 1st place in the Eastern conference. Gotta love this

I just landed on this event’s page and it screams to me roadtrip. Not the type portrayed by Hollywood but a bunch of prog-loving guys in their 30’s catching an amazing line-up. Pondering…. Peter Hammill, Fish, Liquid Tension Experiement in the same event the same day… Resisting.. Temptation..

Woah there - had to try this SAAS! It’s actually a basic version of the venerable, all mighty and powerful Photoshop.
I created an account in seconds, uploaded a pic of my son playing hockey, recalibrated it in seconds, saved it and emailed it to my wife in less than 3 minutes. The feature set is basic but complete, don’t expect to be able to manage layers but sure beats many other ways to doing a quick thing on the fly. Highly recommended. And you get 2 gigs to store your pics.

Morcheeba just released their new album (#6) named Dive Deep. For fans, it’s one notch below Who Can You Trust / Big Calm / Charango but it’s definitely better than The Antidote and Fragments of Freedom. Skye is not there, the brothers used a bunch of vocalists and the end result is is very charming. If you like the band, it’s a worthwhile purchase. Here is a sample, Enjoy The Ride, the 1st track on the CD.

Refurb Apple Nano 2nd Gen! March 18, 2008

My son’s birthday is coming up and we decided for an iPod for his present. He loves music and he’ll recognize bands like Rush and Jethro Tull when they play on the radio.
Now here is the fun stuff, Apple put some refurb’ed 2nd gen nanos (4Gb) on their site this morning so I jumped on it. According the the person I spoke to at Apple, inventory goes in & out almost on a daily basis.
Why spend the extra moolah on the iPod and not on another vendor’s product? Quite elementary my dead (add your name here)! The iPod can be set to a maximum volume setting and you can password that setting. You want to be a cool parent and get great toys, not hearing aids by the age of 17 to your offspring.
To complete the kits (my wife wanted one too so got her one too, 105$ cheap!), I ordered a bunch of cases, cables, chargers, dock, all for less than 40$ w/ shipping from DealExtreme (my favorite shameless plug).
